The project
• Construction of two (2) new pump stations and installation of new pumps; one located at the township and the other one inside the mine. • Construction of 9.5km of pressure pipeline consisting of 7.5km of 200mm steel pipe and 2km of 250mm HDPE pipe. The steel pipe is laid on top of concrete plinths and the HDPE pipe is laid underground. • Construction of a new HDPE membrane lined storage dam/pond inside the mine with both inlet and outlet concrete structures. • Upgrading of both the existing township and mine blue area dam/pond by constructing new inlets and outlets structures. • Construction of 45m3 Blending Inlet Chamber and 200 m3 Chlorine Contact Tank. • Design, supply and install chlorine gas dosing treatment plant, including the dosing building. • Supply and install Emergency chlorine Gas Dry Scrubber. • Construction of new bulk electrical power infrastructure for the new pump stations and chlorine gas treatment plant. • Installation of Control and Instrumentation for full automation and control by SCADA the new infrastructure.
