TKM Engineering revealed its sponsorship to Gabs July at a press conference held yesterday (12/05/2022) at Cresta Lodge in Gaborone. TKM has agreed to assist Gabs July by debushing, grading and clearing the Sebele race track at a value of P135, 000.00.

The race track will be used to host the Gabs July horse race slated for 30th July 2022. The Sebele Race track has not been utilized for more than 10 years hence dense with trees and shrubs. In order to be utilized, the track requires debushing, clearing and grading.

Speaking at the press conference, TKM Engineering Director, Mr. Boipuso Masala said TKM Engineering has a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program which aims at uplifting the lives of the less privileged members of the communities in which it operates within.

“Giving back to the Community remains a priority for us,” added Masala. As TKM we understand the value of partnerships hence when the Director of Gabs July knocked at our doors for assistance we were sold on the vision and prospects he laid down.

The Gaborone City Deputy Mayor, Honourable Lotty Manyapetsa appreciated the sponsorship from TKM Engineering to debush and grade the track and implored other private companies to emulate TKM’s noble gesture.

Gabs July is a 100% local registered company aimed at organizing world-class horse-racing meetings in Botswana. It will stage its debut derby on the 30th July 2022 at National Agriculture Showgrounds at Sebele Race Track in Gaborone and will run on an annual basis in July.
